Projects and Amounts

  • Lerab Ling is home to a thriving community of monastic practitioners who observe a daily schedule of prayer and meditation, following one of the most ancient lineages of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition (the Nyingma school). It is a time-honoured tradition in Buddhism to make offerings to the ordained spiritual community (Sangha). According to the teachings of the Buddha himself, this is an especially meaningful way to practice generosity and accumulate merit.

  • Your donation will help to provide financial support for senior Rigpa members who have devoted their lives to Rigpa and reached retirement age, to spend the remaining years of their lives deepening their spiritual path, primarily as residents of sangha communities.

Rigpa’s main retreat centres Lerab Ling, Dzogchen Beara and Dharma Mati, are in the process of creating an environment in which senior practitioners may live and practice together. Sangha members who are already living in those communities will have priority in the start-up phase of this project.
